As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of professional practice in mental health and social services, I am equipped to help individuals with an array of life’s difficulties. I have specialized experience in helping children and adolescents with processing grief, dealing with anxiety, conquering depression, and combating anger issues. Because children and adolescents communicate in a unique way, I work to establish a relationship on that very communication that will allow us to collaborate in order to address the issues at hand. I go to great efforts to make sure children and adolescents experience therapy in a way that is fun, interactive, and will leave them wanting to continue utilizing the healthy coping skills that we will practice together.
As a clinical social worker I have a holistic approach and unique training in person centered therapy. I believe in treating the whole person, instead of just one issue, as these issues are often rooted deeper than we realize. I do not believe in cookie-cutter therapy, as we are all different based on varying factors including childhoods, relationships, and environments.
I am also experienced in utilizing both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. My top priority as a therapist is helping others, I believe it is my true calling and where I find my joy. I’d love to help you or your child get started, one step at a time!
