5 Steps to Achieve Motivation
We all, at times, have been told to look for motivation inside of us so that we can push forward in life to achieve. Whether it was achieving a test, an accomplishment, or just being able to ask someone out it took motivation to stir up the nerves inside of us to do so. Motivation is the desire or readiness to do something. We as people must stay motivated to do the work that we do to create external results. People easily lose their motivation when there has been a recent failure or a minor setback in life. Also, the fact that we live in a society that is challenging on a consistent basis does means that each day we must motivate ourselves to be the best at what we think and know of ourselves. Therefore, I have the 5 Steps to Retrieve Motivation:
1. Accept your NOW.
The first thing that we dwell on is our current situation. It is okay to stay in the now, but you also must accept the now. Accept the fact that what you have is what life is right now. It is ok to be able to not have it together at this moment. After accepting the now then this makes room for changes to develop.
2. Motivate through past Success.
If you feel that you cannot move forward, and you cannot find that motivation within then think of your past. Think of all the accomplishments you have done so far in life. For example, think about the time that you learned to swim or graduated high school. You overcame it all and you achieved successfully. You made it this far, so use those past achievements as motivation to move forward. You made success before and you can do it again.
3. Do not Fear.
Fear is only False Endeavors that you Assume to be Reality. Being able to recognize the fear within is not your reality is being able to move pass the fear. A fear should never be a reason to stop. So, with fear aside then continuous motivation can happen.
4. Get Assistance.
Being able to seek out a counselor that will help sort out the confusion and organize your goals and thoughts while allowing the counselor to help rebuild your personal motivation. The counselor will also be able to restore optimism, unrealized personal strengths, and put you back on track to achieving your goals. When in hesitation a counselor will be able to help you motivate and find the will to move forward.
5. Keep Moving Forward.
It is always like the Disney Movie: Meet the Robinson says, “Keep Moving Forward.” If you can take 5 steps forward take 5, if you can take 2 steps forward then take 2. Continuing to be forward and positive is key. For example, a job calls, and you have been waiting on a job offer for the past month. It may not be the ultimate job but having a job and continuously looking for the best job is better than not having a job. Keep a mentality of being able to move no matter what, because this will help build motivation. You will become more motivated by achieving as much as you can and have set forth for yourself.
